Logo
The Bricklin Group
Ok, I had to go back to the original emails for this one as I couldn’t really remember much about it. Got this lead from my client Andy Chase about a logo design for a contemporary art collective. Andy wanted me to design the logo and I believe the contact at The Bricklin Group wanted to (cheap out) use 99 Designs. Which is almost the logo design equivalent of job bidding. But what’s worse is you get a bunch of free designs and you pick the one you like, whereas job bidding no actual work is done until the offer is met. Anyway…the client wanted something contemporary and with a hummingbird. I kept it clean and let the great colors I chose stand out above the text. In the end I think he didn’t end up going with anyone. A shame for an art collective that prides itself on “redefining the way contemporary art
is viewed, appraised, purchased, appreciated, and resold, and how galleries,
art collectors, and artists interact.”. oh well, se la vie…
