Camera2: “Orbit”
The followup album to CAMERA 2’s debut, Andy from C2 didn’t give me much direction (which he usually doesn’t, just allowing me to create freely) the only thing he said was the album’s title and that he felt everyone was “orbiting” during the writing process and that they were exploring new territory. After listening to the album, I definitely felt a futuristic in a retro-heavy on the “ish” feel. And a feeling of isolation. A sort of Major Tom kinda feel. So initially i had some 70s concepts of living in space in the future along with an image of Anna Fisher – the first mother in space. The image is amazing. The expression on her face in that space helmet – so full of wonder and hope.
The band chose the image of Anna and I added some 70s space-age fonts and a great red/purple color scheme.
